As I am getting familiar with blogging, I am discovering that this useful tool could help me in the future when I have a classroom and students of my own. In the future as a teacher I would like to set up a station were everything would be set up and I would have the students comment maybe once a week on what they liked about the topic that we were studying and what was lacking. I would use this tool to get feedback from my students and have them give me an example of what would make learning the lesson plan more interesting. In Warlicka there is great examples of blogging and it's versatility with giving out information on a specific topic.
As many things in the classrooms are changing so are the students that are attending the classrooms. Learning neat and interesting teaching methods is a great way to keep children on the edge of their seats, and a great way to keep their attentions. Teachers should realize that blogging is an educational tool that should be taken adcvantage of. Teachers should stay in touch with their students and keep themselves involved in all the new advances of using technology in the classroom.
I agree Stephanie.... technology is definitely taking over and we need to embrace it not ignore it. Our future students will probably be better at it than us haha! This is exactly why they will find this interesting and fun so by integrating it into the lessons you will be able to capture their interest in the lessons too. :)
ReplyDeleteI think having students blog their opinions one what is happening in their classroom is a great idea. Not only are you getting feedback and their take of how you're presenting things, but talking about what you've learned and discussing it is another way to reinforce what's been covered.
